I'm actually a little surprised there haven't been more Metal Slug-inspired titles. Considering how derivative the entire video game industry is, you'd think someone would have jumped on that. The Disgaea series offers probably the deepest turn-based strategy experience around. That fact impresses many of us, but it also turns a lot of people away.
