Nintendo seems to have abandoned its Personal Trainer series of self-help software, but America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking is, for all intents and purposes, more Personal Trainer: Cooking. This is an interactive cookbook that will walk you through the steps of 300 new recipes that weren't in Cooking. Original post by Arts-and-Entertainment:Animation Articles from [...]

If you've never dug into the franchise before, Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey on DS will be a pleasant surprise. It's a hardcore dungeon crawler overflowing with content that can easily take up to 70 or 80 hours of your time, and likely more if you really get into it. Only DSi owners should consider upgrading to Korg DS-10 Plus. That said, for that crowd this is definitely a superior product to the original DS-10. Dual Mode instantly doubles your sonic possibilities. There are still the same interface issues, though, like the inability to work with more than 16 sequences, create sequences longer than a [...]

There were really only two directions a How to Train Your Dragon game could have gone, and part of me is disappointed that it went in the monster battling route, instead of the pet sim route. Still, compared to the console counterparts How to Train Your Dragon on Nintendo DS is the best of the [...]

Most American Nintendo DS gamers know of developer Cing from Hotel Dusk. Lauded for an intelligent, mature, and well told story and its slick style blending manga and noir visuals, Hotel Dusk wasn't huge, but it had a following, and the announcement of Again had fans buzzing. The experiment was a success and Picross 3D is another addictive collection of satisfying mind games. Only the visuals, which took a dramatic turn for the worse, keep this sequel from sitting alongside the original Picross DS. Dementium II isn't really a direct sequel to the first game's story as it's a standalone adventure with new characters and a fresh, creepy locale. But it does link to the first game with similar enemies and a familiar mature, violent, and bloody setting. Original post by Arts-and-Entertainment:Animation Articles from EzineArticles.com

Some of these DSiWare releases just have really terrible names. Crazy Golf is the latest, as it's a generic and uninspired title that might keep people from paying attention to what is actually a very solid game design — I understand that “crazy golf” is Britain's general term for what we'd call miniature golf here [...]

I hate to say this at the start of a game review, but the idea of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on the Nintendo DS offends me deeply. I've been a huge fan of the franchise since Jordan Mechner created it on the Apple II two decades ago, and while the game design on [...]

The original adventure was a highly anticipated turn-based RPG that shipped to the Xbox 360 three years ago. It was good, but a bit too traditional and by-the-book to really shine. The sequel, Blue Dragon Plus, hit the DS in 2008 and completely changed the genre and gameplay style — it was a strategy title. [...]
